Caleb Michael's 2017 total solar eclipse experience

For 2 NEWS Today co-anchor Caleb Michael, Monday's total solar eclipse won't be his first experience with the phenomenon.

As a student at Oregon State, Caleb joined a crowd at Reser Stadium on Aug. 21, 2017, for a total solar eclipse.

Unlike Monday's eclipse, where the path of totality cuts northeast from Texas, through the Midwest and up into Canada, the 2017 path ran east-southeast from Oregon to South Carolina, passing right below the Midwest, which experienced only a partial eclipse.
